Receiving the Core Parts of the Build. Following almost a year of preparation I received a call from a truck driver trying to find my address for the delivery of a full container load. It was a surprising moment because the first delivery was canceled. Customs caused some last minute delays. ![[Taking Delivery of the Kit-20241102200321804.jpg]] I checked the sender and it was indeed the Kit and a 2h live load as such. This means the clock started ticking and we had to scramble to unload everything. Four people can comfortable do it. We were three and a forklift. In the end everything worked out and we lived another day without getting ripped off by a logistics company. ![[Taking Delivery of the Kit-20241102200348258.jpg]] The XHawk build area is an old barn attached to the house. It’s modified in several ways to better work with this project. Most importantly, though, it is a big space that should keep airplane Tetris to a minimum. ![[Taking Delivery of the Kit-20241102200404580.jpg]] Bearhawk Aircraft did do a great job packaging all the parts. They have a good system in place with almost no issues. Having all the phase one parts in the build shop is a major relive. I am not going to lie. My imagination of things that can go wrong on the journey is strong.
